Miriam (Minnie) Dean married Quintus C. Siler, son of Solomon Siler, who settled in Pike County, Alabama, around 1842. Their eldest son, Joseph Franklin Siler, was a colonel in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Their younger son, Quintus P. Siler, was a banker in Lafayette, Alabama, and married Mamie Griffin.
